2 x Theraline Dodo baby feeding pillows  (valued at £26 each)
DoDo Pillow, nursing pillow and cover!  The nursing pillow that is affordable. Cover washable at 40 degrees, odour free, no chemicals. The low-noise pillow is filled with anti-allergic EPS standard beads (1.5 – 3 mm in diameter, holds approx. 32 litres). It is a simple, slightly smaller (outer dimensions 170 x 34 cm) and practical nursing pillow that convinces with its low price.
2 x Theraline Mamma Pads (Valued at £15 each)
Thanks to a very thin, medical adhesive coating, the breathable silicone nursing pads stay in place without any further help. The adhesive coating on a soft high-tech silicone pad can adapt to practically every shape of breast. Due to surface tension, it applies gentle pressure which slightly but reliably presses the nipples inwards. The use of breathable silicone as straps and adhesive material creates an unexpectedly high wearing comfort. Silicone enables a gas and oxygen exchange very similar to skin. A principle which is used, for example, with long-term contact lenses based on silicone. As soon as the pads are applied, everything feels completely natural and they are practically not noticeable anymore
2 x Cantaloop Adjustable Drop Cup Feeding Bras  (valued at £25 each)

A drop cup bra with adjustable straps and back closure. Two side panels strategically placed for growth when breast start making milk. Crimping between the breast increases the ´V´ effect in the front for wear with a t-shirt/low top. The tight knit under the bras substitutes under wire resulting in extra support & “lifting” of the breasts.
Mama Jewels are the first and currently the only safety tested brand of jewellery in the UK market. Do you struggle with keeping your babies attention whilst feeding? Mega Competitions For National Breastfeeding Week UK

  1. My favourite benefit of breastfeeding, is the closeness you have with baby, the bond, the skin to skin cuddles, and the special milky smile only a mum see’s as baby looks up from her breast.

  2. The bonding you get through breastfeeding is incredible – having formula fed my first child, then breastfed a child for 28 months, I really notice a difference in that regard

  3. I love the fact my baby get’s exctly what she needs, whenever she wants it, right temp, and for free!

  4. I used lanolin ointment on my nipples faithfully morning and night and never experienced any cracking or bleeding when I started nursing.

  5. top tip for breastfeeding is to relax and enjoy it, and if you’re struggling, get help from someone who knows what they’re talking about.

  6. my favourite benefits of breastfeeding are knowing you’re giving your child the best start in life, getting all the extra cuddles, and being able to eat as much chocolate as you like!!!

  7. My favourite benefit is the convenience, and also the amazing thought that for her first six months, my daughter was fed (almost) exclusively on stuff that came from my body!

My top tip is to find out all about the available sources of support before your baby is born, so you know where to go if you need help.

  8. My top tip for breastfeeding would be to persevere, you will get there with patience and love. I had such a struggle to start but still going strong and would have missed out on all these precious bonding moments had I given in.

  9. One breastfeeding benefit is the antibodies it provides baby. Fantastic that there is such a natural way of giving them protection.

  10. My favourite benefit has to be the bond & closeness of mummy & baby. Also the ease compared to bottles and formula!

  11. My favourite thing about breastfeeding has to be that it’s always with you and always ready. And top tip: even if it’s not the problem it can often be a solution 🙂

  12. Ive not breastfed yet, as baby is still growing inside. But i am looking forward to it. I really hope it goes well, and i think ill definitely invest in a feeding pillow for the extra support, and have my sister on speed dial for advice as she has been there and done it!

  13. I love that by breastfeeding I get to snuggle my baby more than anyone else. I love that im giving him optimal nutrition and we have a close bond. I just love breast feeding 🙂

  14. My fav breastfeeding benefit varies. At the moment I am enjoying the knowledge that as my son goes through a growth spurt at 9 months I am more than adequately equipped to provide whaat he needs and help him through this. I love the comfort that we both get from breastfeeding.

My top tip would be to keep a muslin cloth with in easy reach of anywhere you may sit down to feed. I have cloths in coat pockets on the sofa and the armchair in the bed room in the car … everywhere!

  15. I love the nutrition he gets and it all from me- nothing else (maybe a little help from his dad if I express but thats rare) 🙂

  16. I’m not sure that have a top tip for breastfeeding as we’ve had lots of problems with her latch but I would probably say don’t expect it all to click into place immediately- mum and baby both need to learn what to do. Try to relax and don’t focus too much on your baby’s weightloss in their early days- they are more than likely getting exactly the amount they need from you.

  17. I think the best benefits are knowing that I’m doing the best thing for my daughter for her health now and in the future, it’s always there on tap when she needs or wants it and best for me is that it’s free and also means I can carry on eating what I want because “the baby wants it”

  18. There are so many benefits (always on tap! no sterilising! it’s free! good for you and baby!) but I think my favourite is that it forces you to stop and have quiet, close time with your little one. My top tip would be not to be afraid of co-sleeping, especially in the early days – it makes the night time feeds so much easier, you both get more sleep and I believe it helped my milk supply get established.

  19. Initially my favourite benefit was that it’s free. Now I love how much better my sleep is, how easy it is and how it gave me a way to comfort my children as well as provide them with nutrition.

  20. Don’t set a time limit on how long you plan on breastfeeding for, just take each day, then week at a time and before you know it you’re at 6 months with a happy healthy baby! 🙂

  21. I am a midwife and soon-to-be first time mum, and am a huuuuuuge breastfeeding advocate and will be feeding our baby until she decides she no longer wants to 🙂 My bit of breastfeeding advice is that it doesn’t just have to stop at filling baby’s tum- breast milk is epic stuff, full of antibodies and goodness, and can be used for all kinds of things! Sticky newborn eyes, cord detachment, sore nipples, nappy rash- put some milk on it! It’s nature’s wonder balm :)x

  22. My top tip is keep going through the tough initial bit as it gets SO much easier, you CAN do it! Ignore anyone who says you can’t, you DO have enough milk and you are built for this xx

  23. My favourite thing about breastfeeding is that it makes me have time to sit down and relax! The rest of my day is pretty hectic and i love having time out with my little boy. My top tip is that your confidence will grow as your baby does, just believe in yourself and b proud of being a breastfeeding mama 🙂

  24. So many benefits of breastfeeding. I just love the closeness and health benefits and best of all its convenient and free.

  25. The best thing is the convenience. The best tip I have is to read up lots and join an online community which supports bf, there are many and I don’t know if any are better than others but its great to have people on hand to answer questions 24/7 – yes there is always someone doing nightfeeds online!

  26. One benefit of breastfeeding is that it provides your baby with antibodies that it can protect your baby from illness

  27. My top tip for breastfeeding is to learn how to feed in a lying down position as it can really help with the night feeds 🙂

  28. My favourite benefit for them is the boost it gives their immune systems, even when over 2. The best benefit for me is the convenience and the ‘solves everything’ nature of shoving a boob in!!!

  29. I suffer from a lot of allergies along with asthma and eczema, so I love the fact that by breastfeeding my little girl I can hopefully protect her from suffering the same.

  30. Benefit of breastfeeding is the skin-to-skin and bonding time you get with your baby when you’re both completely relaxed

  31. I’m hoping it will help get my shape back. At the moment I may be as round as I am tall. Haven’t actually checked but it seems that way!

  32. I am expecting twins in the next couple of weeks so my favourite benefit at the moment would have to be the money we’ll save!

  33. My top top for breastfeeding is to relax, try different positions and phone a lactation consultant if you have any problems.

  34. My top tip for breastfeeding would be to try and find a support group near you and go along. Mine is full of lovely women and helpful advice

  35. Don’t watch the clock to see how often or how long your baby is nursing. Instead, go with your instincts. If your baby is rooting around or crying, then feed him or her — even if you just did. @anna8301

  36. My number one benefit of Breastfeeding has to be that breast milk is the most PERFECT thing I could ever give to my baby 🙂

  37. 🙂 the bonding you get from breast feeding special time with your baby that noone else can offer 🙂

  38. For me one of the benefits that I have had from breastfeeding is that has kept my periods away, I am now at 15 months without!

  39. I love the amazing benefits for the baby – they get all that immunity and protection and its better than anything you can buy.

  40. For me a big part of why I want to breastfeed is the health benefits for the baby. The fact that it will help protect the baby from infections and diseases is a big benefit!

  41. My top tip is to learn as much as you can about breastfeeding before you have the baby, so you know what’s normal and what isn’t

  42. My favourite benefit of breastfeeding is the convenience. Not having to take so much equipment around makes life easier for me to get out of the house. I love how easy it is to soothe a grumpy child too.
My top tip would be to identify someone before your baby is born who can talk to you about breastfeeding and help you along, I had a couple of people and I don’t think I would have established breastfeeding without them, especially as the Community Midwifery team didn’t help at all.

  43. Some great prizes available here!
I am excited to be able to try breast feeding for the first time when my daughter arrives (hopefully) in a few weeks time!
The benefits seem to be amazing – I am particularly looking forward to feeling the bond with her as she feeds 🙂
As a low income family it is amazing that we can feed our babies for no cost as well, booby milk will save us a fortune!
I love the fact that breast milk really boosts the babies immune system as well, the research shows much lower rates of illness in breast fed babies 🙂

  44. I love that breastfeeding soothes tears and calms tantrums.
My top tip would be not to say that you will ‘try’ to breastfeed, but to determine to do and not have a plan ‘b’. You will be far more successful.
One amazing benefit of breastfeeding is that the action of suckling helps to develop the jaw and prevents ear infections.

  45. I love the breast milk pendants. I’m having trouble deciding which one I want though. Maybe one for my birthday and a 2nd for Christmas??? x

  46. I love the fact that Breastfeeding is the one thing in the world that nobody else can do for my baby but me!! It’s so special knowing that only I can provide breast milk for my baby and that it will form a closeness and a bond like no other. I find the whole experience so amazing – it blows my mind sometimes 🙂

  47. My advice would be to just relax… Breastfeeding can become a stressful experience (especially if you let others interfere too much) – Breastfeeding is a special and unique experience between you and baby. Try to remember why you’re doing it and most importantly: PERSEVERE! It takes time! 🙂

  48. Breastmilk can be used to fight infections and rashes, it’s free, it helps bonding, prevents cancer and disease. What’s not to love about it?

  49. Hope it becomes more and more normal to breastfeed instead of formula feeding, its a warped reality we live in where it is in a lot of places frowned upon to breastfeed, but thought completely normal to use formula :S

  50. My top tip for breastfeeding is to locate your local breastfeeding support before you have your baby and make yourself contact them afterwards regardless of how it’s going.

  51. You never have to worry about how long your going to be out for and will baby have enough milk, as long as you have your boobs your baby will be fed x

  52. wow so many amazing prizes

I think for me the biggest benefit is the money we’ve saved and can spend on other things, we’ve had big period of unemployment and being able to feed the baby and not worry about whether we can afford to has been very reassuring

  53. There are so many benefits but my favourite is that it’s just so convenient. It’s one less thing for me to think about when i leave the house…can’t forget to bring my boobies!

  54. My favourite breastfeeding benefit is all of the lovely cuddles I get while my son is feeding.. that is unless he’s wriggling and trying to get his foot in my mouth, or his finger up my nose! Hehe! 😀 x

  55. I have issues with the term “benefits” of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is the biological norm, the default way to feed a child. Therefore it has no benefits. Those supposed health “advantages” are actually the baseline level for humanity, whereas *not* breastfeeding/giving formula increases risk. See here for more explanation: http://www.whale.to/a/wiessinger.html

  56. I love breast feeding. It comes with its difficulties but the benefits are so worth it.
My favourite thing about feeding would be the bond it creates between you and your baby. It’s beautiful and unique.
My top tip would be to surround yourself with positive breast feeding supports. Attend your local breast feeding group to meet other mothers in the same situation. Also trust your instincts and don’t be afraid to ask for help and advice.
There are so many benefits for your babies health and well being and the convenience is amazing. Your wants feeding, you lift him/her up and voilà they’re feeding within seconds. No looking for somewhere to warm a bottle, no worrying about sterilising etc etc.
have confidence in what your doing and you and your baby will have an amazing bfing experience x

  57. love breastfeeding my daughter, so easy when going out and about and our bond is so amazing. we are both so relaxed too. also the health benefits are great

    1. a good tip to remember when feeding is to not rush things, this cause stress for both you and baby, take as long as it takes for your baby to feed

  58. My favourite breastfeeding benefit is the fact that it requires no preparation or equipment …. I can hardly leave my breasts at home!! 🙂

  59. I love the closeness that breastfeeding brings, the ability to soothe and comfort my child at any time, any place, anywhere

  60. My favourite breastfeeding benefit is the fact that I know my baby is getting the perfect balance of nutrition without me having to think about it!
