As a mum to be, you spend so much time worrying about all the things YOU simply have to have for your new baby. Soon, however, you realise that so much of it YOU really don’t need at all, and it’s once you stop worrying and actually just start listening to what your BABY needs that motherhood becomes so much more enjoyable, I think.
That said, however, there are sometimes things that you can get by perfectly fine without, but having just make life that little bit easier.
Now, I’m not terribly fussed about ‘germs’ and I’m not a mother that sterilises everything, because I believe that immunity must be built and Ameli must be exposed to the ‘little’ germs in her environment if she has any hope of fighting off bigger ones when they come. I do not however, like the thought of her eating another child’s crusty leftovers. Particularly as we don’t use purees but practice baby led weaning, food is often shifted around on the plate or the tray and for that reason, I like and use the Tidy Tray.
The Tidy Tray fits most standard highchairs. It is machine washable, BPA, lead and phthalate free and has been tested for safety and for use and functionality. It folds easily up into a pouch, and is small enough that it fits into and lives in my (rather large) handbag.
Tidy Tray sells for £14.99 from the Tidy Tray website.
For an additional entry you can follow either Tidy Tray or Diary of a First Child (or both!) on Twitter.
Competition closes on 23 May at noon, and a winner will be randomly drawn using Random.org
The winner is: Julia Rockett
