This is a quick blog service announcement.

Do you find yourself propping your laptop up on the  window sill while you wash dishes? Or balancing precariously on the toaster while you stir the rice?  Well, no more.

If you cast your eyes just a few lines up from here, you’ll see a new feature on the blog. Yes, that’s right, the one  that says ‘listen now’.

That pretty much does what it says on the tin!

Clicking that button, you will be able to listen to blog posts.

There are a few changes I hope Odiogo will make, in time – primarily adding the option of a female voice, but in the meantime, you can download blog posts to listen to later, you can sign up to receive them with iTunes, subscribe to this feed with Zune, or even stream the last 10 articles. You can even save individual posts as MP3.

Annoyingly, it takes a few hours for a new post to be available on MP3, so you could listen to yesterdays right away,  but not todays.

Either way, you can now listen to your favourite posts, or save reminders or recipes or anything you like to listen to on the go.

(Remember, you can also read Diary of a First Child on your mobile phone now, with our easy to navigate mobile format.)

So? What do you think?
