There’s a big black hole in my heart, where once my photos lived! So you know how I said last week that I’d fortunately backed up my computer just the week before? Yeah. That. I had backed up all my invoices, and all my work and all that not-so-fun stuff but none of my photos from February to June of this year – not even including Aviya’s birth! I really hope I kept the CD that they were all on!

I can’t express how upsetting losing pictures is to me. I was glad to find the last two days on my camera, still!

*sigh*

Day 199 – Swimming in the Garden

We’ve finally had some beautiful, long awaited weather, and it’s been all out hot – no middle ground this summer! We decided to take out the paddling pool and let the girls have a swim. (For the record, I was holding Aviya the whole time, it was just when I was taking this picture that she lay back, and her sister held her hand to keep her safe. So sweet!)

Day 200 – Wellington Country Gardens

I took the girls to Wellington Country Gardens for a teddy ย bear’s picnic. It was our first visit there, and we absolutely loved it and will definitely return again. It was incredibly hot, so I had Aviya in the sling on my back and Ameli had to carry her teddy bunny in her backpack. It got a lot of comments from people!

At one point we rested under a tree to escape the heat of the day – it was lovely, sitting under a tree while Ameli coloured and I read.

Over to those who actually know how to back up their pictures (I hope!):

Mamatography: Week 30 – Big Black Hole

  1. I’m so glad that you had lovely weather! It’s been hot and summery here in Maine, too, and the kids are loving water-play and pool time lately!

That so awful about your pictures ๐Ÿ™ I think I’m going to go the route that Jorge suggested and put all my pictures on an external hard drive. That is. . . . after I go through the “million and one” according to my hubs that I don’t “need” to keep. haha apparently I’m a pack rat even with pictures ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Oh no! I’ve actually started putting all my pics & docs on an external HD that I only plug in when I’m using. I still think I should backup online, but probably never will. ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. Oh, I can imagine how difficult that is, and I’m so sorry you’ve lost your photos. =( I’ve got my fingers crossed that you’ll recover as many as you can!
